Tommar Wilson is an established performing artist based in New York City. As an actor he has appeared in several shows on Broadway and across the United States. He has been honored to work with such talents as Chita Rivera, Jerry Mitchell, Jack O'Brien, Eric McCormack, Michael McKean, Frank Galati, Scott Ellis, David Marquez, Amanda Dehnert, Susan Stroman, Michael Greif, Bernie Taupin, Elton John, and the list goes on.




As a teen, Tommar discovered he had a passion for the perfoming arts while acting in school and summer stock productions in Topeka, Kansas. After a year studying music education, he realized he would not be happy unless theater and the perfoming arts played a major part in his life. He auditoned and was accepted as a Drama Major at Carnegie Mellon University. It was at CMU that he had his first formal acting training. Four years later he recieved his B.F.A and headed to New York City.




Tommar became a proud member of Actor Equity Association in 1998 and continues to work in Equity productions across the country. Audiences may have seen him in Broadway Productions of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Music Man, Never Gonna Dance, Hairspray, or Lestat or across the country in National Tours of Ragtime, or Mamma Mia! Regionally has been seen in Hair at Actors Theater of Louisville, West Side Story at Trinity Repretory Theater, Godspell at The St. Louis MUNY, Sophisticated Ladies at The Alliance Theater, and Anything Goes at Papermill Playhouse.




Supporting new works for the theater is very important to Tommar. He continues to foster new works as a performer, and more recently he has added several hats including director, choreographer, and producer. Some of the new works he's been involved with have included The Flamingo Kid, Legally Blonde, Superdimensional Microbabes, Lestat, Tom Sawyer, Miracle Brothers, Measure for Measure, The Boy in the Bubble, Sunfish, and Black Eyed Sue which he conceived, directed and choreographed.
